Superintendent's End of Year Message

Superintendent's End of Year Message

Congratulations to the Edgewood High School Class of 2022 Graduating Seniors!

It has been a challenging couple of years for everyone.  Our students have persevered to arrive at this moment.

Just a few thoughts that I would like to leave you with as you begin your journey beyond high school:
  • Hard work works!
  • Never, ever elevate yourself at the expense of others. If you want to rise, lift those around you and rise together. Like a boat rising with the tide.
  • Never let a situation or a circumstance define you or your life.

You can create any life you want when you choose to accept responsibility of creating it. It’s time to begin working on your greatest masterpiece – your life.

Congratulations once again and have a wonderful future!

Village of North Kingsville Mayor, Mindy Bisbee, Praises Kingsville Elementary Students and Staff for a Successful Entrepreneurship Course in Problem Solving

Recently, students and teachers from Kingsville Elementary met with North Kingsville Mayor, Mindy Bisbee to develop ideas for solving problems the village is facing. Please see Mayor Bisbee's note below:

"This school year I have had the privilege of working with two classes from Kingsville Elementary. These groups were given a “problem” that the village is facing and they were to research to find a solution and put together a presentation. Both classes did an amazing job. I was beyond impressed. The first group was Mrs. Santee’s first grade class who was given the task of figuring out what we should put at the empty property the village owns on Rt. 20. The second group was Mrs. Louden’s fourth grade class who was given the task of figuring out how to make the Village of North Kingsville grow. They had some wonderful ideas that I would like to share with you. The two ideas include creating a tab on the village website that lists our local businesses, which I am working on. The other is to bring food trucks into the village. We have difficulties bringing restaurants into the village because we have no sewers. Food trucks do not need sewers, as I was told by students in Mrs. Louden’s class. Therefore, contacts are being made in the hopes that food trucks will come to the village. So far, I have two that may be interested, I am just waiting on confirmation and yes, one is Chick-Fil-A. They will be parked at the property located at the future sight of the new park on Rt. 20. As I get vendor’s scheduled, I will post those and let everyone know. I hope we can bring these fourth graders (soon to be fifth) ideas to life. Please keep a look out for this new adventure.Thank you."
