Open House - “Open House” for students and parents at Edgewood High School is scheduled for Tuesday, August 22nd from 5:00-7:15 p.m.  We will begin with a student/parent meeting in the auditorium, where a welcoming message will be provided from 5:00-5:30 and various topics will be explained to students and parents such as; Title I tutoring support for students, PBIS incentive program, teacher/parent communication on student’s behavior and academic progress, code of conduct, dress code, etc.  At the conclusion of the general meeting in the auditorium students and parents will be able to walk around the high school together to see where their locker and various classrooms are located.

Student/Parent Handbook - Every student will receive a Student/Parent Handbook on the second day of school from their first period teacher.  During every period that day, each classroom teacher is going to go over sections of the handbook with the students in order to explain important procedures and expectations for students during the school year.  The Student/Parent Handbook is also posted on our school website.

Principal's Advisory Councel - This year Edgewood High School is looking for interested students and parents that would want to serve and implement a Principal’s Advisory Council. The purpose of the council is to meet monthly during the school day and allow students and parents to have a voice and collaborate with the building administrators on topics that will help Edgewood High School grow positively in the areas of climate, culture and academics. If you are interested in serving on this committee, email Mr. Notar at: m.notar@buckeyeschools.info.

Google Classroom - Once again, this school year, I will have a Google Classroom for all Edgewood High School students to join. This Google Classroom has important items such as; daily announcements, senior information, Student Parent Handbook, National Honor Society information, Yearbook, District Calendar, scholarships, Homecoming 2023, Prom 2024, Driver’s Education classes, etc.

PBIS Incentive Program - This year Edgewood staff members will reward students displaying positive behavior based upon our PRIDE acronym in the building.  PRIDE stands for being Prepared, Respectful, Involved, Dependable and Empathetic.  When staff members notice any of these qualities being displayed by a student they will hand them a PBIS Incentive Card.  This card can be turned in to the cafeteria during lunch to receive a free Dippin Dots ice cream treat.  Then every two weeks students who turned in an incentive card to the cafeteria will be in a drawing and 10 students will be picked out to receive a free Edgewood t-shirt.  At the end of the school year, all students who turned in any incentive cards will be put into a large drawing for a special end of the year treat.
